Compute Continuum Layer

This layer enables a “compute continuum” vision of the underlying infrastructure where tasks and data move seamlessly among edge, cloud, and HPC environments, depending on the needs of each use case as if everything was happening locally.

 

  • Interoperability Abstraction Layer

Provides unified interfaces to interact with various compute backends, regardless of provider or network topology, ensuring full interoperability and resource abstraction.

  • Edge Framework

Resources for deployment and execution close to devices and sensors, reducing processing latency and avoiding unnecessary data movement.

  • Cloud Framework

Generally cloud services (storage, VMs, etc.) that offer on-demand scalability and processing of large data.

  • HPC Framework

Leverages high-performance clusters for simulation and heavy workloads, optimizing the use of nodes and HPC queues.
